I am a philosopher working primarily in ethics (esp. moral psychology) and philosophy of mind (esp. philosophy of psychiatry and philosophical psychology). Since January 2019 I have been an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the American University of Beirut. I completed my PhD in philosophy at UC Berkeley in the summer of 2017 and from Fall 2017 through Fall 2018 I was a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at New York University Shanghai.
Here you can find information about my publications and upcoming and recent talks, information about my current and past teaching, and a current CV. You will also learn that I am annoyed by signs that don’t mean what they are supposed to mean.
I am married to the poet and teacher Hannah Treasure.
