I am a philosopher working primarily at the intersection of ethics (esp. moral psychology and moral responsibility), philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science (philosophy of psychology and psychiatry, and philosophy of medicine). Since January 2019 I have been an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the American University of Beirut. I completed my PhD in philosophy at UC Berkeley in the summer of 2017 and from Fall 2017 through Fall 2018 I was a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at New York University Shanghai.
Here you can find information about my publications and upcoming and recent talks, information about my current and past teaching, and a current CV. You will also learn that I am annoyed by signs that don’t mean what they are supposed to mean.
I am married to the poet and teacher Hannah Treasure.
